Qualifications: – B.Sc. in Biology (University of Lagos, Lagos State); M.SC. and Ph.D. in Hydrobiology & Fisheries (University of Port-Harcourt, Rivers State); Post Doctorate (Stirling); in addition to several local and international professional certifications.

Current Job: – Professor of Ecotoxicology & Hydrobiology in Department of Animal and Environmental Biology, University of Port-Harcourt, Rivers State with over 25years of lecturing and mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate students including diverse professionals

Stint with AEIAN: – Since inception and have been actively involved in the activities of the Association.

Aim: – To revitalize AEIAN and ensure it is a nationally recognized and active Body in conformance with the global IAIA

 

For Vice-President: – Dr. Banji Adekoya

Qualifications: – Diploma in Environmental Management; Ph.D. Agric-Economics; MBA University of Chicago Booth School of Business

Current Job: – Sustainability and Project Management Professional of more than 25years across non-profit, finance, oil & gas and energy industries

Stint with AEIAN: – Since 2009, very involved and was the National Secretary from 2009 to 2017

For General Secretary: – Engr. Tukur M. Lawal

Qualifications: – B.Eng. Chemical; PGDM and MBA; Professional Diploma n Education; ongoing Ph.D. in Environmental Management (University of Port-Harcourt, Rivers State) in addition to several Professional Certifications.

Current Job: – Senior General Manager/Head (Environmental & Community Affairs) of Dangote Cement Plants Plc. with a career that spans 30years in the Manufacturing Industry.

For Assistant General Secretary: – Mrs. Zenum Kifasi

Qualifications: – B.Sc. Chemistry (University of Jos, Plateau State); M.Sc. Environmental Resource Management (Nasarawa State University)

Current Job: – Principal Environmental Scientist in Environmental Assessment Department of the Federal Ministry of Environment

Stint with AEIAN: – Since 2009 and is currently the Desk Officer in AEIAN Headquarters, Abuja.

Aim: – To further develop, improve and implement ways to advance the activities of AEIAN.

For Publicity Secretary: – Engr. Chinyere Nnenna Igwegbe

Qualifications: – B.Eng. Water Resources & Environmental Engineering (Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State); PGD Conflict Management & Resolutions (Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife, Osun State); Exe. Masters in Business Administration (Metropolitan University, United Kingdom)

Current Job: – Certified Management Trainer that spans Power Sector, Real Estate, Water Resources, Environment, Renewable Energy and Mentorship programmes, also Co-Founder of “Bridging the Gap” (an NGO).

For South-South Zonal Coordinator: – Onyagbodor Oghogho Peter

Qualifications: – B.Sc. Environmental Sciences (Esep Le Berger Universite, Cotonou, Republic of Benin); M.Sc. Animal Science, Nutrition, Production and Management and PGD Agriculture in Animal Science & Livestock Production (both from Benson Idahosa University, Benin-City, Edo State); recently completed Ph. D. Thesis in Environmental Animal Physiology

Current Job: – Heads the Animal Health and Physiology Unit Laboratory in the University of Port-Harcourt, Rivers State.

Stint with AEIAN: – Was Secretary of the Local Organizing Committee of the Maiden AEIAN Conference at University of Port-Harcourt (2019); Organizer of the Charlie Wolfe 2022 Symposium in Port-Harcourt.
