7th Annual Charlie Wolfe Symposium 2023

The Association for Environmental Impact Assessment of Nigeria (AEIAN) held its 7th Charlie Wolfe Symposium on February 8th, 2023 with the theme “COP 27 Resolutions: Climate Financing for Low Carbon Energy Solutions”. The event took place in three locations: Abuja – Federal Ministry of Environment, LASAPA, and University of Port Harcourt. The opening welcome was given by AEIAN President, Prof. Ijeoma Vincent-Akpu, and the introductory speech was delivered by the Chief Host, Dr. Abbas Suleiman, Director of the Environmental Assessment Dept. of Federal Ministry of Environment Nigeria. The event also featured a message from IAIA President, Edith Kahubire, and speakers who spoke for 20 minutes each, followed by 10 minutes of questions and answers. There was an announcement for 5 minutes, followed by a vote of thanks and pictures by Dr. Banji Adekoya for 5 minutes, and the closing of the event. The symposium focused on climate financing for low-carbon energy solutions and provided a platform for experts in the field to share their knowledge and experiences.
